For those we love and those that love us
For those we see and those we no longer see   
God Bless them all

                         Ollie would have celebrated his 13th birthday in March 2004, and despite his advanced years was still
                            Top Dog in the flock of six bichons! Ollie was almost 12 months old when I was persuaded by his
                                                                     breeder to show him on my behalf for the first time.
                           At the Bichon Frise Club of Great Britain show he won both classes entered and received
                                                                        Reserve Best Dog Puppy at this first attempt.
                                                                 I was so thrilled there was no turning back after this!
                   He qualified for Crufts the following year and recorded a lovely Toy Group win at Wembley's all breeds show.

  He was always consistently in the cards at Championship shows and
                                  his best result was winning the
Reserve Best of Breed and the Reserve Challenge Certificate at Paignton
              which gave him his studbook number at The Kennel Club.

                 He and I were apprentices during those early years learning as we both went  but enjoying our days out together,
                                                                 quite the adventure and possibly some of the happiest too.
                    The shows had to be scheduled around an ambitious career in London, and business over the years took me
                               overseas many, many times. Thank goodness for family and friends who loved to look after him!

                       Ollie was retired some years ago but one of his sons took
             first in Junior Dog at Crufts 2001 so there was life in the old dog still!

            He was a very stubborn, determined little dog with selective hearing
              when it suited him but he remained a rascal through and through.
       

I miss him very much
